Invitation only · Norfolk & Suffolk IGP Club

Obedience. Tracking. Protection.

A working dog club on two private acres — IGP, run properly, for the handlers who want the real thing. £100 per dog per month, and you have to be asked.

Mainly German Shepherds and Malinois · Other breeds considered

01 — The three phases

What the club actually trains.

Phase A

Tracking.

Nose down, working a laid track properly rather than hoovering the field. The phase most clubs skim and most dogs enjoy most.

Phase B

Obedience.

Precision heelwork, positions, retrieves, send-aways. Built on the NePoPo® system rather than luck and repetition.

Phase C

Protection.

Grips, outs, guarding, control under drive. Done with equipment, structure and a decoy who knows what they're doing — or not done at all.

Trained by Scott McKay, NePoPo® Gold School Graduate
02 — Who it's for

Working dogs and the people who want to work them.

01

Mainly GSDs and Malinois

The breeds the sport is built around, and the ones most likely to be miserable without a job. Other breeds are considered — it's about the dog, not the paperwork.

Handlers who'll turn up

IGP is a long game. A dog that comes once a month doesn't progress, and a club full of those isn't a club.

People we know

Protection work on a private field is only safe among people whose handling you trust. That's the whole reason the club is invitation only.

Free rein of the ground

What membership actually buys: members train on the paddock when they want, not only in session hours. It's a key to a private field.

03 — How you get in

There's no application form.

You can't buy your way in and there's no waiting list. Invitations come out of one of two places: an assessment, or having trained with us long enough that we know your dog and your handling.

If your dog isn't a working dog, that's not a judgement — it's just not what this club does. Pack walks and coaching are open to everyone, and that's where most people belong.

04 — Before you ask

Club questions.

Can I just pay the £100 and join?

No. The price is published so you know what it costs if you're invited, but there's no public checkout. The link comes with the invitation.

My dog isn't a GSD or a Malinois.

Talk to us anyway. It depends on the dog — but be aware this is a working dog club doing protection work, not a general obedience class. Pack walks are almost always the better fit.

Do I need experience?

No, but you need commitment. Plenty of good handlers started with a first dog and no idea.

Will you run classes for other breeds?

Probably, in time. Nothing is scheduled and we won't announce it until it exists.

Do you compete?

That's the direction. We'll say more when there's something real to say.

Bring your dog to an assessment and we'll see what you've got.
